How do I determine the IP of my computer?
- Click
'Start'and click in the'Search programs and files' - Type
'cmd'and press Enter. - Type
'ipconfig'and press Enter. - In this example, the IP address is found in the highlighted area. The IP address of your computer is usually in the form of
'192.168.XXX.XXX'. - Alternatively you can click the
'Network'icon and click'Network and Sharing Center' - Click
'Local Area Connection'. - Click the
'Details button. Your IP will be in the section highlighted in red. Click'Close'multiple times to exit out of the current and previous screens once you have obtained the IP address information.
