  1. Click Start -> All Programs -> Click Microsoft Office -> Click Microsoft Word 2010
  2. Load your template or a new Word document.
  3. (Microsoft Word loads the template. You can now add the Template Fields.)
  4. Select the Insert tab.
  5. Select Quick Parts, Select the ‘Field…‘. (The Field window opens.)
  6. Select the MergeField item
  7. Enter the first template field. Click the OK button.
  8. Go back to Microsoft Word. You can now add a second template field and follow the same steps to add more template fields.
  9. Select Quick Parts, Select the ‘Field…‘. (The Field window opens.)
  10. Select the Merge field.
  11. Enter the name of the second template field and click OK.
  12. Click the Save button when you have finished adding all template fields.
  13. Click the Settings menu item -> Click Preferences
  14. Select Templates -> Click the Add button find the template.
  15. Click on the template file -> Click the Set as default button
  16. Select the template -> Click the Edit Mappings button
  17. The template fields created in Microsoft Word are shown.
  18. Map the template field name to the InfoFlo field name
  19. Select the first name field -> Click the Open button -> Click OK -> Click OK to exit preference settings
  20. Click the New Letter button to load the default template
  21. If you have added more than one template, right click on the contact name.
  22. Select New Letter to Contact and select Choose Other Template
  23. Select the template -> Click the OK button
  24. The Microsoft Word window opens and the document automatically loads. Go to the the Word document and you will see that the contact name has been automatically populated.
  25. Close the Word file, no need to save it.
  26. (The document is automatically linked to the desired contact.)
